Located at the junction of the Oxford and Grand Union Canals in Braunston near Daventry, the Stop House is the local British Waterways office, which looks after the Oxford Canal and a central section of the Grand Union Canal.  The Stop House, which was once a toll house collecting monies from boats passing between the Oxford and Grand Union Canals, now also has a gift shop, holds monthly exhibitions and has information about many canals and rivers within the British Waterways network.  It is open during the week all year, and opens at the weekends during the summer months.
